Alternative Energy Sources To Replace Fossil Fuels
By Genevieve Thomson
The wave of the future is in the utilization of alternative
energy sources. The world is fortunate enough to have
an endless supply of natural resources along with the
alternative energy technologies needed to produce enough
clean energy solutions for all.
In this respect, the future looks bright in terms of
saving our planet from further demise. We can renew
needed supplies of water through desalination plants,
renew food growth through better planning and rotation
of crops to save the soil and we can renew our ravaged
rain forests through reforestation. The question of
how the world uses these energy resources is always
the biggest and most compelling question.
Replacing Burning Fossil Fuels And Nuclear Waste By-Products
Alternative energy sources are at the forefront of
concern because of the pollutants brought about by burning
fossil fuels. Nuclear waste byproducts have also threatened
the safety of the entire planet.
Fortunately for all of mankind, there are many alternate
ways of harnessing energy that will leave the environment
intact and healthy for this and future generations.
Solar Energy Is A Clean Renewable Source
Solar energy is an extremely resourceful contingency
for the future. The energy received from the sun is
nearly 35,000 times that used by man. As long as the
sun exists, its energy will reach the earth and this
makes solar energy a clean, renewable source.
The energy generated from solar power releases no pollutants
and is very practical and efficient when used for heating
and lighting.
Geothermal Energy
With alternative energy sources, the applications are
nearly infinite for alternative energy. Sources such
as geothermal energy which is generated from the internal
heat of the planet.
The output of energy is minor and not able to impact
on a large scale. However, the energy can be used to
power steam turbines, which in turn can generate electricity.
Wind Power
Wind power falls under the category of alternative
energy sources. The power of the wind can be used to
propel the blades of wind turbines. The rotation of
the blades is then turned into an electrical current
with the help of a generator.
Currently, this type of energy makes up only about
1 percent of the world’s energy usage. The most compelling
thing about wind power is that it is an extremely clean
energy source and has no adverse affect on the environment.
There are no fuels to burn, which means there will be
no harmful byproducts.
Biomass Energy
Alternative energy sources also include biomass energy.
All organic matter contains stored carbons, including
wood, crop residues, animal wastes, aquatic plants,
landfill gas and municipal land industrial byproducts.
Utilizing alternative energy technologies, these all
present means of natural and renewable energy and they
can provide economic growth and environmental benefits.
Hydrogen and fuel cell technology is also a viable
alternative. This type of technology is very promising
as a source of heat and electricity for buildings. It’s
also a great source of power for electrical vehicles.
Alternative energy sources are all around us and with
the right laws, attitudes and commitment from everyone,
the world will be a lot safer for future generations.

Little Known Alternative Energy Facts.....
What types of products are available on the market?
Products that use alternative energy
sources range from entire houses to vehicles.
Engineers are aware of consumers seeking out cheaper
alternative to the rising costs of utilities and fuel
prices. As more and more people push for the decline
in fossil fuel usage, we will see more and more alternative
energy products hit the market.
