Electricity savings are easy to achieve with modern
technology and taking care when using electrical systems
around your home and business. Turning off the lights,
using energy efficient appliances are some of the ways
you can save on power costs.

cost up to a dollar a day. When the door is hanging
open, the refrigerator must work harder to re-cool the
inside once the door is closed. Keep the door open for
minimal time for true electricity savings.
Use A Thermostat To Save On Power Costs
Today, there are even more ways to find electricity
savings. One thing that your parents probably did was
keep the heat down to a certain level. You can do that
today, but you can do it in a different way.
There are thermostats that you can set to keep the
heat down while you are at work or while you are sleeping,
but then that automatically raise the temperature when
you come home for the evening. In the ways of electricity
savings, this is one of the best ways to keep on top
of what you are burning up in energy costs.
Energy Saving Light Bulbs Using Only A Small Amount
Of Energy To Run
You should also think about a few simple things that
may not seem like much at first, but if you add them
to the above items, you could see more electricity savings.
There are light bulbs out today that last a very long
time and use very little energy when they are running.
You can also do some of your laundry loads in cold
water when hot is not needed, thus saving you money
when you have an electric hot water heater. Also make
sure you get Energy Star approved appliances when you
buy new ones, and weather proof your home as best as
you can each seasons for savings that you can see.

Another way to save on electricity costs is not to
pay for electricity to your home. You can pay for the

then use solar power to turn on your lights, power all
your appliances, including your solar hot water system.

then you can use free electricity to run electrical
systems in your home.
Arranging for the installation of solar panels on your
roof, as part of a solar power system in your home,
means savings to your household costs over the longer
term. The system is almost maintenance free and many
manufacturers are offering a warranty between 10 to
25 years. Once the solar power system is installed,
you may realise you no longer need to use the big power
cable coming off the street pole to your home.
Solar Power Is Renewable With An Infinite Energy Source
Remember, solar power is renewable, creates almost
no emissions, and the energy source is infinite. You
cannot compare with fossil fuel burning power stations
polluting the atmosphere, with their depleting energy
sources. One day, coal, gas and other fossil fuels will
eventually run out.
Solar energy will never run out. This is why the source
of energy, the sun, is infinite. Whenever you need more
solar power, just keep going back to the solar energy
source.
