Energy Products To Meet Power Needs
By John M Saragunter
It’s one thing to know all the theories about sustainable
energy, and to agree that everyone needs to do their
part. There are many renewable energy products available
for corporations, large buildings, and large-scale projects.
But for a while now, people have been demanding the
kinds of renewable energy commodities for use on a smaller
scale. For example, if an individual or a family wanted
to convert their home to a greener type of energy, or
even adopt personal products that use energy more efficiently,
what is available to them?
Much energy research, at first, was directed at the
larger picture, like huge wind turbines in wind farms
and industrial sized solar panels to be used on the
roofs of large buildings.
Generate Your Own Power From A Renewable Energy Source
But soon, as researchers recognized that some of the
requirements for renewable electricity stemmed from
the volume of power demanded downstream, by ordinary
consumers, new products came on the market that allowed
these consumers to review their options and reduce that
demand on fossil fuel sources and create some of their
own energy at home.
The two most common products designed to help individuals
have been tailored either toward solar or renewable
wind energy. One of the most recent developments has
been the creation of miniature wind turbines that can
be attached to the roof of a home, or slightly larger
ones that can be set up in some corner in the back yard.
Generating All The Power Needs Of A Home
These energy products are getting less expensive and
are beginning to provide cleaner energy to supply the
home, resulting in significant cost savings. These and
the familiar solar panels can sometimes come close to
supplying all the energy needs of a home without resorting
to the larger grid.
But such renewable energy products are available on
an even smaller scale. For example, people can now use
powerful portable generators for specific tasks. These
are designed as green energy solutions for things like
amplifying equipment for special events, or even powering
a barbecue at a cookout.
Or roll-up solar panels can be stuffed into a backpack
to take on a camping trip. With the basic technology
now developed, designers are inspired to use it in countless
ways, to help people wean themselves from fossil fuels
and switch to the use of renewable energy.

Little Known Green Energy Facts.....
What are some green energy resources that may be available
to me?
Most people do not really think
about where their energy comes from because out of sight
is out of mind. But you do need to know what green energy
resources are available to you because every little
thing you can do to help the environment is worth the
time and effort.
Your electricity is a great start.
You may get your electricity from a hydroelectric dam
or even from a nuclear power plant. Your heat source
may be a bit different though. If you are using propane
or natural gas you may want to consider switching over
to electric.
There are ways that you can generate
energy resources yourself if you have the time, money
and patience. One of the ways to generate a renewable
energy source is to install solar panels.
The panels are initially expensive
but will pay off if you live in a sunny area. Another
option is to install a wind turbine. If you live in
an area where there is excessive wind, you could generate
enough power from wind mills to supply your house and
even sell some back to the electrical grid.
