Environmentally Friendly Products Reducing Your Impact On This Planet
By James J Dixon
Environmentally friendly products help to lessen our
impact on this planet. Some examples include, eating
food grown in local areas, helps reduce the need to
transport food long distances.
Buying detergents with ingredients derived from plants,
helps reduce the impact of chemicals on our environment.
Buying recyclable products and placing recyclable products
in recycling bins to reduce the need for more landfills.
Solar Power Generated With Free Sun Energy
Another option is to reduce the impact of fossil fuels
on the environment, by using solar power to turn on
the lights in our homes, power all household appliances
and heat our solar hot water.
Solar power uses free solar energy, without generating
emissions and is renewable. Fossil fuels will eventually
be depleted, while sun energy is an infinite source,
it will never run out.
These are some of the many steps you can take to reduce
your impact on our small planet with environmentally
friendly products.
Taking Care Of Our Planet
The issue of global warming or climate crisis is something
that is talked about a lot these days, and, frankly,
it is hard to know what to believe. First of all, the
days do not necessarily seem that much warmer.
But the truth is, people in general need to take much
better care of the planet, regardless of if there is
a crisis or not. This is not only better in the long
term, but, for many of us, a lot of money can be saved,
simply by buying environmentally friendly products.
Reducing Impact Of Products And Produce
Environmentally friendly products are virtually everywhere,
which is obviously a good thing that we all want to
see more of. What qualifies something as environmentally
friendly products? Simply put, if some aspect about
it improves the impact it has on the Earth compared
to similar products.
For example, buying local produce is better for the
Earth not because of organic or quality issues, but
because far less gas and pollution is created in shipping
that produce around. Having consideration for how products
are created or packaged is a huge deal when it comes
to environmentally friendly products.
Negative Impact Of Chemicals On The Environment
In addition to where products are coming from, environmentally
friendly products are also much more conscious about
what goes into the products themselves.
For instance, many detergents and cleaning products
are full of chemicals that are created in high-polluting
labs and such, or the chemicals themselves are created
in such a way as to negatively impact the environment.
Reusing Recyclable Products Helps To Reduce Need For
More Landfills
Using only natural ingredients in your cleaning products
or laundry detergent is a great way to improve the health
of the planet.
The concern about environmentally friendly products
is not just in how they are made, but also, what happens
when you are done with them. It is no stretch for anyone
to imagine us running out of room for garbage; with
the population of the globe growing at the rate it is,
there is only so much space available for all of our
garbage, let alone more peoples’ garbage.
Buying Recyclable Products
Most environmentally friendly products are also recyclable,
or sold and distributed in recyclable containers. If
you can buy household products you can re-use or recycle,
that is a huge step in reducing the need for more landfills.
Next time you go shopping, see if you can buy more
products that have less of an impact to the environment.
This includes, recyclable containers, biodegradable
household chemicals and reusable products.
Detergents With Natural Plant Ingredients
Look for detergents that do not use chemicals, and
use natural ingredients from plants. There are many
products these days where you can use natural ingredients
to clean your clothes, dishes and general cleaning around
your home.
If you cannot find environmentally friendly products
in your local grocery store, look for local health food
stores. Some of these stores, sell more than just health
food, they also sell household products friendly to
the environment.
Placing Recyclable Products In Recycling Bins
Look at your garbage bin and see if you can place more
of your garbage in recycle bins. Depending on the area
where you live, you may have a local municipal recycling
collection service. You can find out the products the
service collects and take out those products from your
garbage bin and place them in recycle bins.
Some of the many products that are often collected
are plastic and glass bottles, paper products including
newspapers, magazines and phone books and many other
recyclable products.
Taking steps to reduce your impact on the environment,
is easy when you can use environmentally friendly products.

Little Known Solar Facts.....
What is the initial cost of switching over to
using alternate energy?
Switching over depends on
what exactly you are switching.
Houses that have to be retrofitted using solar
panels to generate electricity can be quite costly.
Vehicles are cheaper to retrofit but require work.
The costs can vary for anything switched over.
The best way to get an estimated idea is to seek
out a contractor or mechanic that is for using
alternate energy sources.
