Filtered Water System In Your Home
By James J Dixon
In the home, a water filter is your best solution to
rid your water of contaminants while preserving the
vital minerals you actually need. If you own a home,
it is a given that a filtered water system should be
present.
Make it a priority investment if it is not. When correctly
installed and vigilantly maintained, a water filtering
system can deliver clean and healthy water from your
tap to your glass and ultimately to you.
You and your family will enjoy healthier living now
and in the future. Available in a wide variety of applications,
home water filter systems are an inexpensive way to
ensure that your family is safe from contaminants.
Keeping Contaminants To A Minimum
The use of water filtration systems prevents toxic
substances such as cysts, bacteria and chlorine from
entering the body or reproducing inside the body; thus
reducing the risk of becoming ill from contaminants.
The microorganisms and other pathogens that cause waterborne
infections are kept to a minimum.
Some home filters have solid yet permeable blocks that
are made from carbon. The carbon element selectively
clears some of the toxic substances like bacteria that
are found in drinking water.
The carbon block keeps the natural pH of water and
does not filter useful minerals that are required in
healthy water. Water filters have even been medically
certified in reducing the chances of cancers of the
colon, bladder and rectum. This is because the byproduct
of chlorine that is commonly used to treat water is
a known carcinogen.
Attaching A Filter To The Faucet
A popular home style of filter is the model that attaches
to the faucet. It is affixed to the faucets of the home
and filters all water as it is dispensed. This is an
extremely handy model and helps ensure that the water
you drink and cook with is filtered.
However, the kitchen isn’t the only place where you
will want pure water in your home. Filtered water systems
are available for the bathroom, and anywhere brushing
your teeth or using the shower could expose you to unfiltered
and contaminated water.
Filtering Your Drinking Water
Filtering water will typically get rid of most of its
impurities, and tap water is especially susceptible
to impurities. The organisms, minerals and chemicals
found in water can be toxic to humans over time and
should be removed. So too should the water that is used
in irrigation, swimming pools and aquariums be filtered
for safety.
Of course it should be noted that not all impurities
can be completely removed from filtered water. It is
important to have a multi-stage filter with a wide surface
area that catches as much sediment as possible while
allowing the water to pass through.

Little Known Water Filtration Facts.....
There are many cities and towns where you do not want
to drink the water from the tap. It may be that the
local sanitation guidelines are not strict enough. It
may be that the water contains contaminates or far too
much chlorine.
Whatever the reason you are left with two choices.
You can buy bottled water but that gets expensive quickly.
Or you can go with a water filtration system that cleans
your water for you. There are many different models
to choose from so you have plenty of choice. Stop buying
bottled water and save some money.
