Global Warming Is The Increase In Earth Surface Temperature
By John M Saragunter
If you find yourself confused about what global warming
is, then you are not alone. It is hard to separate fact
from fiction as there are so many different research
studies detailing the global warming debate.
Greenhouse emissions are an issue but it is not the
only one. There needs to be a definitive guide but unfortunately
there is not one at this point.
Global warming is when temperatures on the Earth’s
surface rise over a set period of time. It includes
the near-surface air as well as the temperatures of
the oceans. Global warming is of vital importance when
scientists discuss weather trends and the extinction
of species. Even slight temperature variations can cause
detrimental results throughout the world.
Thanks to such acts as the Kyoto Treaty, global warming
is coming to the attention of the public and corporations.
The Kyoto Treaty, also known as the Kyoto Protocol,
limits the amount of greenhouse emissions allowed for
each industrialized country.

Choose Your Products Wisely
Global warming is in the hands of politicians but citizens
have an impact that is often underrated. The key to
making your voice heard is through careful selection
of products that you purchase.
Global warming is, in part, produced through greenhouse
gas emissions. These emissions are mostly comprised
of carbon dioxide which is an unhealthy byproduct of
the burning of fossil fuels.
Environmentally Friendly Energy Sources
When consumers switch to environmentally friendly energy
sources, we are doing our part to help reduce the emission
of carbon dioxide. Electing to purchase hybrid vehicles
also goes a long way to helping save the environment.
The political arena is a difficult ground to navigate
where global warming is concerned. There are treaties
regulating how much pollution and emissions are produced
from industrialized countries but then there is also
a global buying and selling of these limits.
Help Save The Environment
Oil and gas companies stand to lose millions of dollars
if they are forced to find cleaner burning fuels but
the cost could be worth it if it is proven to help save
the environment.
Sometimes it is hard to distinguish factual information
on a website and that of just opinion. Far too often
websites promote their own agenda and global warming
is no different. Each side presents facts and statistics
to back up their research findings. The result is confusion
among the public as to which side is correct.
Unfortunately until there is solid evidence one way
or another, the best way to have an informed voice is
through researching the issue yourself. Go to the internet
and do a search because you might find out something
new.

Little Known Global Warming Facts.....
Are there regulations in place to prevent industries
from polluting the environment?
There are regulations in place
for countries who are members of the United Nations
Framework Convention on Climate Change and who have
signed the Kyoto Protocol amendment.
The countries agree that they
will limit the amount of greenhouse gas emissions they
produce each year. Some countries, due to being underdeveloped,
do not have a cap on the amount of greenhouse gases
whereas the larger countries do.
