Sustainable Living Solar Power Energy Generation Guide
Sustainable Living By Reusing Current Resources
By J K Hellios
Sustainable living helps us to survive by reusing our
current resources. Some resources, cannot be reused,
like fossil fuels, but other resources like recyclable
household products can be reused and help to decrease
our dependency on digging for more resources out of
the ground.
Rather than looking for more resources, we should look
for resources that will never run out, like wind and
solar power. Solar power uses the sun as a source of
energy, where the source is infinite. There are almost
no emissions when generating solar power. Unlike the
pollution created when burning fossil fuels to generate
electricity.
Making Many Small Steps To Make Big Changes
Everyone wants to be able to do their part to fight
global warming. But it’s not easy to figure out what
exactly everyone should do. What exactly can you do
to help with the climate crisis?
You can’t stop driving a car altogether, and there
certainly is the myth out there that to stop global
warming means a complete shift in the way you lead your
life. That’s not true. The fight can mean a number of
very small steps and alterations that can lead to big
changes down the road. The key to fighting global warming
is if everyone did their best to achieve sustainable
living.
A finite Supply Of Earths’ Resources
What does sustainable living mean? Sustainable living
is an attempt by a person or family to achieve a balance
in terms of using the Earth’s resources. Many of the
Earth’s resources are non-sustainable, meaning that
there is a finite supply and that they might one day
run out.
Oil is a perfect example. Other resources are sustainable,
such as wind and solar power. We could never run out
of either of those things and as a result, they are
both key to sustainable living.
Reducing Your Carbon Footprint
So what are some of things you can do, to achieve sustainable
living? Well, you can review your options and one of
the first steps towards sustainable living is to reduce
your carbon footprint. The chief cause of global warming
is the overwhelming amount of carbon dioxide that humans
are emitting into the atmosphere.
This can happen in the form of factories, but one of
the main culprits is automobile emissions. Sustainable
living might mean trading in your car for a hybrid or
increasing your usage of mass transit or using your
bike to commute or go shopping.
Eating Less Manufactured And Processed Foods
Another key to sustainable living is by changing your
diet. Manufactured and processed foods create a lot
of waste and have a huge impact on carbon dioxide emissions.
Also, trying to support locally-grown farms and stores
means that corporations spend less money and energy
shipping foods around the world - lowering their carbon
footprints immensely. Buying from your local farm or
farmer’s market will go a long way in starting sustainable
living.
Start Making Your More Small Steps Now
Sustainable living is important because the future
of our planet is at stake. And I don’t just mean our
children’s children’s children’s planet.
Many scientists agree that if we don’t start working
now towards sustainable living that many of the effects
of global warming will be felt in our lifetime. There
is no time to wait, the time to choose sustainable living
is now.
Solar Power Helps To Reduce Your Carbon Footprint
One way to reduce your carbon footprint is to use less
energy gained from burning fossil fuels to generate
electricity. You may have heard of solar hot water.
The technology is now available where you can power
all your appliances and turn on the lights in your home
with electricity generated with solar power. Solar power
is generated with free sun energy as the source. Unlike
fossil fuels, the source of energy from the sun is infinite.
It will never run out.
Sun energy is everywhere. Fossil fuels have to be dug
up and transported many miles to generate your electricity.
You can generate solar power from your home with solar
panels on your roof. Now you can see how your carbon
footprint can be reduced by using solar power in your
home.
Recycling Your Household Waste
Another tip, is to recycle most of your household waste.
Rather than throwing away household products that can
be sent for recycling and reused, you should arrange
for a recycling collection service to collect your recyclables.
Many of your containers, state on the label if they
are recyclable and you could also find out what recyclable
products your recycling collection service collects
in your area.
You may even talk to your neighbours about their recycling
and see if they can all join with you in reducing their
carbon footprint by leaving their recyclables to be
collected by a local recycling collection service.
Reducing our household waste, reusing and recycling
our resources, will help everyone in our planet survive
with sustainable living.

Little Known Solar Facts.....
What happens if it is a cloudy day?
Unless you have storage for your collected
solar power, you will have to rely on other means to heat, cool
or power your home.
If the solar panels do not receive sunlight,
the process of converting the thermal rays into
electricity does not happen. If you do have storage,
the power will be pulled from there.
